“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.”
Jesus said that God the Father is SEEKING worshipers. He is seeking people who worship in spirit and truth. At MISSIODEI, we are seeking to be such people. Worship is critical. It is not enough to come to a church service and sing some songs because God is seeking a very specific kind of worshiper.
At MISSIODEI we believe that worship should be an outflow of both spirit and truth. It involves the head and the heart. We want our worship to be rich in doctrine and truth, but we also want to pour our hearts into it. Worship should be deeply emotional. It should come from our hearts, our souls, and our spirit. It should reflect our thanks, praise and adoration of the King of all Glory. It should effect the way live and serve.
“I can safely say, on the authority of all that is revealed in the Word of God, that any man or woman on this earth who is bored and turned off by worship is not ready for heaven.”
~A. W. Tozer
Through out the Bible, God expresses anger, weariness, sarcasm, and condemnation towards those worshipers who lack spirit. They may have obeyed the rules, but God was offended by their worship.
At MISSIODEI we believe that worship is our highest calling. “Man’s chief and highest end is to glorify God, and fully enjoy Him forever.” We want to glorify him in worship and enjoy him in our worship.
“It is delightful to worship God, but it is also a humbling thing; and the man who has not been humbled in the presence of God will never be a worshiper of God at all. He may be church member who keeps the rules and obeys the discipline, and who tithes and goes to conference, but he’ll never be a worshiper unless he is deeply humbling.”
